Dynamometer
TnT Performance & Repair has installed a Mustang Eddy Current Chassis Dyno. We use the Dyno to prove horsepower and torque at the rear wheel of your vehicle.
Auto
and truck manufacturers rate horsepower at the flywheel, not the rear
wheels. While this will inflate the horsepower number, which is great
for selling vehicles, you will not be able to apply all of rated horsepower
at the wheels due to the vehicle drivetrain robbing a percentage of
the power. What you can feel and use is what's left at the drive wheels,
and this is a number we monitor. Through a simple mathematical calculation,
we can give you estimated flywheel horsepower, but we will give you
true, absolute rear wheel horsepower.
Many
of our customers like knowing exactly what they have gained when adding
performance components to their vehicle, and the Mustang Dyno takes
care of that! We can perform both pre-installation and post-installation
testing, plus provide a documented report showing the power increases
experienced by your vehicle. We can even strap your vehicle down on
the Dyno and run the quarter-mile, show you various trap speeds and
things like 0-60 foot times, just like at the racetrack! Charges at
current rate may apply.
TnT Performance & Repair offers our Dyno services to a wide range of customers.
We currently work with several specialty engine and rebuild shops around
town, local hot rods and race car enthusiasts. There is no better way
to adjust vehicle timing, air-fuel ratio or make simple fuel adjustments
while setting the vehicle to run at peak efficiency than doing so on
a Dyno. We also use the Dyno for everyday in-house customers who need
simple troubleshooting done while simulating certain driving conditions.
